I was recently given Views of Israel, 12 drawings by Joel Rohr. Lovely as it is, unfortunately I don't have space to display the pictures. The envelope is a little torn at the opening but the prints are in perfect condition. I would appreciate anyone letting me know where I could sell them. Thank you.

I have a copy of Joel Rohr's book, "Israel Landscapes and People" given to me as a prize when I graduated from Gratz College in 1968, the Anna Breskman Finger Memorial Award. It's always been very special to me and I've always loved it.

About 55 years ago I was visiting family in Jerusalem with my small daughter and got totally lost. I asked the way of a helpful man who took us back to the main road and told us that he was an artist and as it was on the way showed me his studio. I bought a numbered print of a painting not shown here of cyclamen in the foreground and the windmill and the rest of Jerusalem below. It was one of those very special encounters still remembered at a time when much is forgotten. The painting is on the wall as I type.

Your site is a great tribute to Joel and his legacy. Here's a 1956 watercolor I recently acquired that you might enjoy. It's similar to other views of the olive groves and kibbutz I have found online. Thanks.

I have a serigraph that my parents bought in Jerusalem in the 1960's at his studio. When I went to Israel in 1972 or 75, I found pictures (photocopies) that I hung on my wall in the kibbutz I was living. I didn't know at the time it was the work of the same artist whose work hung in my parent's home since the 60's On a trip to Jerusalem (I'm not sure if it was in 72 or 75, I was wandering around the artist's quarters and saw a picture in a window of an artist's studio, the same picture that hung in my parent's home. Only then did I put it together. I did stop in to chat. My father passed in 2007 at 95 years of age. I took the serigraph with me. The name of this piece is Western Wall (serigraph 1947) J.Rohr 3 Yemin Moshe or Monte St. (can't be sure) Jerusalem.

I have two of Yoel Rohr's paintings. One is of Ein Kerem, which had belonged to my parents, the other a coastal scene,I believe in or near old Jaffe, which I bought from Yoel myself. Both are behind glass, but I'll try to photograph them and send the files to you if they come out reasonably.

Hello. Thank you for dedicating this site to Mr. Rohr. He is a great artist that has inspired me to continue my own work. I recently found one of his original paintings entitled "Citadel of David" and I would like to sell it to someone. Sadly, I must let it go to good hands since I am always moving. I want it to be better taken care of. If anyone is interested, please email me for more info.
Thank You very much.
